This was the week we were finally waiting for...Young Voices had finally arrived. We had so much fun singing and dancing together during the rehearsals and then when it was showtime, we were all our feet to the beat. It was definitely a fantastic experience we won't forget.

A letter will be sent out next week if anyone wants to purchase a DVD :)

So...what else have we been up to this week?

During literacy, we have been looking at writing letters of complaint to Manchester's Hilton Hotel: we never knew how good we were at complaining about things. Who would pay to be treated with such utter disrespect? How can they call themselves "Five Stars" when the rooms are not even made? What kind of establishments serves their paying guests cold soup? What a absolute disgrace?

As for maths, we have continued to look at percentages (finding 10% to then find other amounts) and have explored mathematical statements and problems in our groups.

Next week, we will be deciding whether schools should be built in the city centre or the suburbs of Manchester and the benefits of each as well as investigating how important the circulatory system really is to us.  Not only this, but will be uncovering the secrets of none other than Manchester's ship canal.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Year 6 :)
