Inclusion Quality Mark with Centre of Excellence Status – IQM and CEO January 2025
At Meadowbank, we are incredibly proud to have achieved the Inclusion Quality Mark (IQM) with Centre of Excellence status, which reflects our continued commitment to inclusion.
Deeply embedded within our school ethos is that every child is treated as an individual; we celebrate their strengths and uniqueness while ensuring our provision enables each child to flourish and thrive. The recognition of the IQM is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and continuous commitment to school improvement of our staff, students, families and community, in ensuring that every learner, regardless of background or ability, has the opportunity to succeed.
The process of completing the IQM has allowed us to assess and enhance our inclusive practices, ensuring that we provide tailored support, promote equality, offer an enriching and inclusive curriculum, drive inclusive school improvement and celebrate diversity. By achieving this mark, we have gained recognition for being a nurturing a school where all students feel safe, valued, empowered, and ready to reach their full potential.
Achieving Centre of Excellence status, our school has been recognised for our unwavering determination to continually improve our practise at Meadowbank. We look forward to engaging with wider school communities who have achieved Centre of Excellence status in our continued endeavour to offer exceptional provision and opportunities for all of our children. During the IQM assessment, our successful practices helped us to achieve ‘Grade 1’ within all of the 8 key elements:
- The Inclusion and Values of the School
- Leadership, Management and Accountability
- Curriculum
- Teaching and Learning
- Assessment
- Behaviour, Attitudes to Learning and Personal Development
- Parents, Carers and Guardians
- Links with Local, Wider and Global Community
Through our continued work as a Centre of Excellence, we look forward to working collaboratively with our students, parents and families, and our community to reflect on our practices, celebrate our strengths, and drive improvement to continually provide high-quality, inclusive education
